The Rev. Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville had rented a Tampa Convention Center ballroom and hired off-duty police officers.
When I arrived to the convention center I didn't see any protesters or supporters. Jones rented a ballroom that seats 500 and only about 10 people showed up. After the frenzy this guy started a month ago I figured there might have been more people there. He didn't let the small crowd bring him down. He was a pretty energetic guy and the choir he had with him sang like there were thousands of people there, dancing and pumping their fists into the air. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers.
