The People's View

Last week, I traveled up to Tallahassee, Fl to do a freelance assignment for a Danish newspaper called Dagbladet Information. I went along with Martin Burcharth, the writer, while he covered a few stories he was working on in Tallahassee. Martin is a great writer and a great journalist. I envy how much he has traveled and experienced the world.
One of the stories he was working on was how African Americans in the area were viewing President Obama after two years as the president. I particularly liked this assignment because of the visual situations we got ourselves into. Below are some of my photos from the days we worked on it. Comments are always welcome. Cheers.

Students at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Dr. Keith Simmonds is the assistant dean and a professor of potical science at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. He is also the director of the Center for Global Security and International Affairs at the school.

These next photos are from a small town outside of Tallahasee called Quincy. We stopped at the Quincy Community Church of God In Christ after we saw children playing in the yard and stayed there for about two hours. The people and students there were amazing. The Pentecostal church set up their own private school after cost and conditions at other schools became a concern. They have students from grades K-12 in classrooms set up outside the sanctuary as well as in the sanctuary.
