Engagement- Phoenix and Natasha

This past weekend, I went back to Louisville to spend some time with the family and friends. While I was in town, I met up with my dear friends, Phoenix and Natasha. A couple weeks ago I got a call from Phoenix telling me that they were getting married. I was really excited to hear the news and I told them I would do some engagement photos for them. I met the couple back in 2008 from what started as an assignment from a photo class. The assignment was to do a story on a coach so I went to Louisville to shoot with the Derby City Roller Girls. At this time, Natasha was a captain so that's how I first met them. As time went on I decided to do a story on Phoenix and Natasha as a couple and that snowballed into a longer term story and also a great friendship. Here we are today talking wedding plans and to be honest it gave me a lot of joy hearing about the nuptials. Anyway, here are some of the photos I dug out of our time at Garden Court in Louisville on Sunday.
