Happy Birthday Ivy

I met a great family yesterday that has been through a lot together. Six years ago, Mary and John Scholtz lost their daughter Ivy on her third birthday after she drowned in a pool. Since then, they have held a birthday party in her honor with family, friends, and neighbors. Each year, they all write notes to Ivy on balloons and after they sing Happy Birthday they are released into the sky. Despite the troubles the family has been through, they still have a strong bond that is held together by a great amount of support from friends and family.
