Walk of the Cross

Since I can remember, I've thought that Louisville, KY is a very Catholic city. Especially when it comes to Lent, Louisvillians do it up with fish frys, church services, cookouts, the whole nine yards. When it gets closer to Easter, several annual events happen in town where crowds come to participate. On Good Friday, I photographed the Way of the Cross: A Walk for Justice through downtown, comparing various cases of modern oppression with Jesus' sufferings. I've always found the devotion people put into their faith to be quite interesting.
