People Watching People
Over the weekend I photographed the ACE Group Classic. Covering golf is an interesting monster. The cheers are limited, there isn't much to the uniforms, no slam dunks, leaping catches, but people flock to watch it. Here are some of the scenes from people watching people with a little golf mixed in. Thanks for looking!

Newt's Last Stand In Southwest Florida
The Florida primaries have come and gone. It was a whirlwind for my fellow photographers and journalists from across the state with short stops filled with waving, cheering, baby holding, and hand shakings.
My last glimpse was with Newt Gingrich this past Monday when he made a quick stop at Page Field in Fort Myers to give himself a final push. His fans were out and cheering but I guess it wasn't enough to help him win. The vote went to Mitt Romney and now the candidates make their next round of campaigning.
Here are some of my favorites from that day and as always, thanks for looking.

Back In The Buggy
Last weekend was the Swamp Buggy Winter Classic at Florida Sports Park here in Naples. Last time was such a blast I decided to swing by again. I'm still amazed at this sport and its culture. Thankfully there's still another chance for me and everyone else to check out another race in March. Thanks for looking and I'll see you in the swamp.

Mitt Romney's Pit Stop In Lehigh
This past Tuesday, candidates campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination made their rounds around Southwest Florida. Mitt Romney made one of his stops in Lehigh Acres where the housing crisis struck hardest and spoke in front of a foreclosed home.
The crowd was large but not difficult. After photographing Romney, I can see why photographers like covering these events. It seems like it goes by quickly and you've got a national figure in front of you doing his thing. Romney knows what he's doing when it comes to media (except for setting the stage with the sun behind him). He knows where to turn the baby that's given to him to hold and if the baby cries, he immediately gives the baby back. Mitt knows that a photo of him holding a crying baby would end of plenty of bad things.
It was great time photographing alongside some other great photographers including Todd Heisler and David Hume Kennerly and hope I get to do it again soon. Thanks for looking!
