Welcome To Dunk City

For the past two weeks, I photographed the team that busted brackets all across the country. No one expected Florida Gulf Coast University to make it past the first round of NCAA Tournament play against Georgetown. The players from the small, young, and nearly unknown university from Southwest Florida used that to their advantage and surprised teams and the country with their fast paced play and exciting dunking skills. Their performances earned them national attention and a new name was born describing the team; "Dunk City."

On a personal level, I was proud to be able to photograph these guy's journey from unknown to the top of NCAA headlines. The team remained mostly relaxed the whole time and kept with their excitable performance, drawing many new fans to the "Dunk City" bandwagon. I don't even know how many photographs I took throughout my time with the team during the tournament but I tried to narrow it down to my favorites. Sure, there is some repetition with this post but so what? It's my blog! They're my photos! Kidding, but not really.

Thanks for looking and thanks for the support I got from my friends and family throughout my time in the tournament as well.
