School's Out

Kimball Elementary is an old school building in downtown Concord. Talks have been going on to tear down the old building to make way for a new larger school that would join two schools (They decided to tear it down). Needless to say, the school has several building problems but it had a feeling of school I haven't felt in awhile. The new schools almost feel like hospitals. Everything is so clean and sterile. As you can see the stairwells in Kimball see a lot of action everyday with kids running to gym class and music class. I spent a lot of time roaming the halls and random classrooms. It was a fun assignment to have especially in my last week at the Concord Monitor. Cheers.
